Strategic thinking is my life's work, my passion, my mission. It keeps me awake at night and gets me flying out of bed every morning
What keeps you awake at night? The past, the present, or the future?
Here's some food for thought...
According to Management Research Group, 97% of Executive Level Leaders say long-term strategic thinking is their #1 concern.
In short, they are worried about the FUTURE and that keeps them awake at night.
Fascinatingly Harvard Business Review, and MIT Sloan Management Review BOTH report that 94% of leaders concede they don't know how to think strategically. So that means leaders are worried about the future but aren't sure how to deal with it, or what to do about it.
Mind-blowingly (that's not a proper word but it reads well) 96% of executive level leaders say they don't have time (#really) for long-term strategic thinking. An annual off-site simply isn't enough. Strategic Thinking is a journey not an event. It's a combination of tools, time and intention.
So, little surprise here, but according to another MIT study 91-93% of strategic plans never reach implementation. Ain't that the truth!
Strategic thinking is my life's work, my passion, my mission. It keeps me awake at night and gets me flying out of bed every morning.
